Advanced Attribute Uses
Attributes are able to be configured in numerous ways to have additional functionality.
The following Attribute Types allow for extended use:
- Stock Item Family - Links Stock Items for price changing ability
- Kitchen Print Item Priority Order - Allows Stock Items to be prioritised so they're printed to the Kitchen by their priority. Can be used to prioritise items that require the longest cooking time to appear at the top of Kitchen Dockets and items that require less time to cook or prepare can be given a lower priority.
- Stock Item Hire - Allows Stock Items to be linked to a set time for hire
- Yield Percentage - Used to set a Yield Percentage for Stock Items which have an element of wastage that occurs during the sale or manufacture of the item.
Some usage examples are: A butcher selling ham off a bone and the disposal of the bone or Manufacturing a Pizza using ingredients such as Onions which are peeled and the unusable parts of the onion disposed of as wastage. An average Yield Percentage value needs to be calculated and determined by the user then set for the item based on the wastage that occurs during the manufacture or sale of the item.
- Remove Tax on Takeaway Items - Allows tax to be exempt from Stock Items when they are purchased as a takeaway item (this functionality is only available in regions which support the ability to have tax rates added to the item when tendering such as Canada, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, USA and India).
- Dynamic POS Menus by Attributes - Dynamic POS Menus by Attributes can be used to display dynamic POS Screen Menus by utilising Stock Item Attribute Types.
When a POS Screen button has been linked to one or more Attribute Types (a maximum of three Attribute Types can be linked to the POS button) and the clerk presses the POS Screen button, a dynamic POS Screen menu will be displayed. The menu will contain a list of all the Stock Items that are linked to the Stock Item Attributes which were configured on the POS Screen button. A dropdown box for each Attribute Type linked to the button will be displayed at the top of the POS Screen menu. The dropdown boxes can be used to filter the list down to the individual Attribute.
